Having trouble adding a photo or leaving a message? The answers below cover most of it. You can’t break anything here, so please don’t worry about having a go.
“I added a photo but I can’t see it”
That’s normal, don’t worry. Everything that comes in waits for one of the family to see it first, so it won’t show up straight away. Usually it’s on the site the same day. There’s no need to send it again.
“My photo won’t upload”
It’s nearly always one of these:
- A weak signal. Try again on wi‑fi if you can.
- Too many at once. Two or three at a time works far better than twenty.
- One very big photo. If a particular one won’t go, leave it and tell us below.
And do give it a moment after you press the button. A big photo can take a while before anything looks like it’s happening.
“It’s a printed photo, not on my phone”
Just take a picture of it. Lay it flat somewhere with good daylight and hold your phone straight above it rather than at an angle. Turn the flash off if you can, as it bounces back off the print. It really doesn’t need to be perfect. We’d much rather have it than not.
“I don’t know what to write”
Nobody ever does. It doesn’t need to be a speech, and short is absolutely fine. If it helps, just answer one of these:
- Where did you first meet Keith?
- What’s the first thing you think of when you think of him?
- Something he said, or something that made you laugh.
